What is a gravity bong?
Stoners come up with some of the most creative ways of inhaling smoke and the gravity bong is no exception. These contraptions are designed to deliver a powerful, large hit of THC straight in to your lungs, using gravity as an aid.
A gravity bong, also known as a “geeb” or “G-B,” is a type of waterpipe that uses water, gravity and (typically) an ordinary plastic bottle to combust your herbs and turn them in to vapour, ready to be inhaled. A chamber is filled with water where a plastic bottle (that has been cut in half) is submerged. Weed is placed on a foil tray at the mouth of the bottle, and the action of drawing the bottle out of the water combusts the weed and feels the plastic bottle chamber with smoke.
The foil bowl is removed and the consumer will place their mouths around the bottle mouth and the bottle is pushed down. Gravity will force smoke directly in to your lungs and you’ll be high as a kite. 🪁
Do gravity bongs get you “higher”?
Pretty much, yup. They’re designed to mix you up with a large hit. We recommended only the most seasoned smokers/stoners try a homemade gravity bong. At least with the Stündenglass, you get control over the size of your hit by only partially rotating the bong. The speed in which the smoke hits your lungs is a huge factor in determining how high you get. 😶🌫️
